Root of a Rose
We thank people every day for something as simple as holding a door
open or receiving change from a cashier. The words just roll off our
tongue so naturally that we sometimes do not realize that we even said
anything to the individual. The phrase “thank you” is a part of our
everyday language; deeply embedded in the frontal lobe of our brain.
Even when preparing to travel to another country, the traveler will
immediately search for one of the most popular translated phrases,
“thank you”, because they want to learn how to pronounce the word
properly or, well, to the best of their ability. The traveler will zone in on
what will help them to be successful in that country to make their time
more pleasant, easy, stressless, and bearable.
Are we being polite because we care? Maybe we are just robotically
saying what we were taught growing up and playing it safe? We thank
strangers daily, but how often do we thank our parents, guardians, or
siblings just for being a part of our lives?
The Root of my family’s Rose Bush was my “Royal Mother”, Nancy
Mae Richardson, who prepared us for the present and the future by what
she learned from experience and from her past. No parent is given a manual
for living and raising kids but the love and care that was put into our family
daily was a well laid out plan of life that I THANK my mother for even today. ​
Literally every day. Her plan was based on the Bible, what she was
taught, love, and discipline.
When Michelle Obama became First Lady Obama in 2009, she planted
her roots all over the world thus inciting a rainbow of colorful bloomed
roses and branches that will forever be extending upward because of her
NATURAL ROYALTY. “No visible crown needed on earth".
